About Anu Sharma
Dr. Sharma is a board-certified endocrinologist who specializes in the care of adults with diabetes, adrenal/pituitary disorders, and metabolic conditions. She is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care that is tailored to each patient’s unique health needs, goals, and lifestyle.
Dr. Sharma completed her fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the Mayo Clinic Rochester, where she also pursued advanced research training in type 2 diabetes. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she cares for patients and trains the next generation of physicians.
Her clinical approach emphasizes partnership with patients, clear communication, and long-term disease prevention. She has a particular interest in helping individuals manage complex conditions such as diabetes and metabolic liver disease, with a focus on early detection and prevention of complications.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sharma is a physician-scientist whose research focuses on improving how we identify and treat metabolic conditions, especially in people living with diabetes. Her work aims to develop better, non-invasive tools to detect liver disease early and guide more precise, individualized treatment strategies.
