The inaugural state‑of‑the‑art Thyroid Cancer Symposium, co‑hosted by UF Health Cancer Center and Moffitt Cancer Center, brought together leading experts including Naykky Singh Ospina, MD, Gonzalo Acosta, MD and Elio Monsour, MD for focused case discussions, quality‑improvement initiatives, and new research collaborations to improve thyroid‑cancer care.

Dr. Woodmansee was recognized for her clinical expertise and patient advocacy in Neuroendocrine and Pituitary care with the 2025 Endocrine Society Vigersky Outstanding Clinical Practitioner Award.

Dr. Barb was honored as a 2024 Exemplary Teacher for her commitment to educating and mentoring the next generation of physicians.

Dr. Kenneth Cusi, a professor in the Division of Endocrinology, developed a passion for studying the effects of Type 2 diabetes after recognizing its increasing global impact. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in uncovering how both diabetes and obesity contribute to severe liver damage.
